JIM SPENCER

Vice President, Operations/Assistant General Manager, Kaseya Center

Jim Spencer begins his second full season as Assistant General Manager of the Kaseya Center where he will be responsible for event management. He will also continue to be responsible for all aspects of the state-of-the-art Kaseya Center to ensure smooth day-to-day operation as the Vice President of Operations and Facility Services. He was promoted to his new role after spending two years as Vice President of Operations and Facility Services and seven years as Senior Director of Operations and Facility Services.

Spencer joined the HEAT in 1998, after spending more than 30 years with Leisure Management International. In addition to Kaseya Center, Spencer has had a hand in building, opening or operating some of the world's most notable sporting venues, including Nashville Arena, the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise and the $300 million Sydney Arena in Australia.

Born in Nashville, TN, Spencer was raised in St. Petersburg and earned his mechanical engineering degree at Pinellas (FL) Vocational Technical Institute. He enjoys fishing, listening to jazz and riding his Harley on Sundays.

Spencer lives in Davie and is the father of one daughter, Shannon, and has two grandchildren, Cody and Anna.
