In an effort to help create champions on the court as well as off it, the Miami HEAT and Gatorade have teamed up to offer South Florida youth recreational basketball leagues a chance to feel the HEAT Experience by taking part in our HEAT Youth Basketball clinics presented by Gatorade. Select youth basketball leagues are given the opportunity to gain excellent on and off-court basketball training and instruction on improving their basketball and teamwork skills from HEAT players and coaches at special basketball clinics.

In conjunction with the Miami-Dade Parks’ Leisure Access Services, the Miami HEAT offers support for the Miami HEAT Wheels, an adult wheelchair basketball team wherein players encourage and demonstrate how those with disabilities lead active and productive lives. The Miami HEAT Wheels is a competitive wheelchair basketball team in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA). The Miami HEAT Wheels compete at the Division I level and is the only Division I team in the Florida Wheelchair Basketball Conference. The adult wheelchair basketball team competes in regional and national tournaments associated with the NWBA. On April 19, 2015, the Miami HEAT Wheels won their very first championship title in the Division III National Wheelchair Basketball Association.
