Hawks Step Up to Support Dream in WNBA Finals

ATLANTA, GA ----- Atlanta Hawks players and executives have purchased over 600 tickets for Game 3 of the WNBA Finals to allow local youth the opportunity to attend the game. The Seattle Storm lead the Atlanta Dream 2-0 in the best-of-five series. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 pm ET at Philips Arena.

Hawks Owner Michael Gearon, Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, General Manager Rick Sund, Head Coach Larry Drew, and players Maurice Evans, Al Horford, Joe Johnson and Marvin Williams were among those who donated tickets to the game. Youth from organizations including the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, Cool Girls Inc. and Sheltering Arms will be beneficiaries, attending the game at no cost.

“We are delighted to assist our sister team, the Atlanta Dream, in their pursuit of the WNBA Championship tomorrow night in Game 3 of the series at Philips Arena,” said Gearon. “Kathy Betty and her staff are to be commended for the season they have had thus far and it is our hope they can bring a title home to the city of Atlanta. By purchasing several blocks of tickets, we hope that those in attendance will have an enjoyable time on behalf of the Hawks, and help cheer on the Dream to victory as they look to extend the championship series.”
