Atlanta Hawks and Grady Memorial Debut Baby Club

ATLANTA -- Today the Women’s Center of Grady Health System hosted the launch of the Hawks Baby Club.  The exclusive program will provide “Welcome to the Club Kits” containing a co-branded onesie, receiving blanket and membership certificate to the estimated 3000 plus babies born annually at Grady.  Both the onesie and blanket are white 100% cotton and adorned with red and gray.

On hand from Grady Health System for the ceremony were Lindsay Caulfield, Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Public Affairs, and Dr. Jackie Herd, Chief Nursing Officer, along with Steve Koonin, CEO of the Hawks and Philips Arena, who unveiled the kits and introduced items to the families with children recently born at Grady.

“There is no more ‘True to Atlanta’ moment than being born a ‘Grady Baby’ at this iconic hospital,” said Koonin. “The Hawks and Grady have long been allies and the next phase in our partnership looks to the future, cheering on a new generation with hope, health and endless potential.”

The recently renovated Women’s Center was designed “to provide a comprehensive program of services to each woman and family, in a coordinated, seamless and culturally sensitive manner, designed to meet her experience expectations, in a facility that is patient/family-centric.”

“We have enjoyed a long standing partnership with the Atlanta Hawks and today it reaches an exciting new level. As we celebrate this exclusive new program, we also celebrate Grady's new state-of-the-art women's center that provides expert care from prenatal services to delivery, to high-risk pregnancies and their special needs, including the state's only Obstetric ICU and a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,” said Lindsay Caulfield, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Affairs for Grady Health System.

Atlanta Hawks rookie forward Taurean Prince was also on hand to welcome back families who recently delivered babies at the center. He stayed after the event to take photos with the new Baby Club members and signed a few of the new keepsake items from the kits.

Along with the Hawks Baby Club, the partnership between the two will include two in-arena Hawks Baby Race activations sponsored by Grady. The first race will take place at the Jan. 15 game when the Hawks take on the Bucks.
