Analyst, Atlanta Hawks Radio Network
Mike Conti has been with the Hawks Radio Network as a pregame, halftime and postgame host, and as a game commentator, since 2014. He is also the Managing Editor of Sports Radio 92.9 The Game, and is the radio play-by-play voice of Atlanta United FC.
Since joining 92.9 the Game in 2012, Conti has called the 2018 MLS Cup Final and 2018 MLS All Star Game, hosted the station's coverage of the Falcons in Super Bowl LI, and hosted game broadcasts during the Hawks run to the 2015 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. He has also handled play-by-play duties for the station's Atlanta Dream WNBA broadcasts, for the Corky Kell High School Football Classic, and has substituted as play-by-play announcer for the Atlanta Falcons. He won the 2019 Gabby Award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for best play-by-play, and has won Gabbys for his hosting of Hawks broadcasts in 2015 and 2017.
Conti's career has included stops in New Orleans at WWL-FM, where he covered the Saints and Hornets, at WLOW -FM in Savannah, where he covered The Masters and PGA Tour Golf, and WMAJ-AM in State College, PA, where he covered Penn State Football. He has served as the play-by-play announcer for the New Orleans Voodoo of the Arena Football League, and for high school championship sports on the Pennsylvania Cable Network.
Mike spent four years as the Morning News Anchor at WGST -AM in Atlanta, and won a National Edward R. Murrow Award covering the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina at WWL in New Orleans. He also covered the Braves for WGST. He is a former member of Penn State University’s College of Communications Alumni Society Board of Directors and the state board of the South Carolina Associated Press Broadcasters. He lives in Doraville with his wife, Leighan, and their dogs Fred and Clarke.
