Results from a recent poll published on NBA.com show that fans think the Atlanta Hawks' new uniforms are among the best in the league.
Six teams -- The Hawks, 76ers, Bucks, Clippers, Hornets and Raptors -- unveiled new uniforms this offseason. The poll, which was posted Aug. 4 and is closing in on 20,000 votes, asks fans to choose which new NBA uniforms they like best. Atlanta had more than 5,500 votes as of Monday afternoon, trailing only Toronto. The Raptors had roughly 29% of the total vote, followed closely by the Hawks at 28%.
The one caveat is that the article was published in response to the Raptors' uniform unveil, which was the most recent of the six. The poll serves as a footnote of the "All Ball Blog" post on Toronto's uniforms, so one would expect the Raptors to have a significant number of votes.
The poll results are the latest indication that Hawks and NBA fans alike are buying into the team's bold "next generation," which features new Volt Green and Georgia Granite Gray colors alonside Torch Red. Besides being the overwhelming favorite in a June 24 NBA.com poll, the uniforms drew strong reviews from SB Nation and Soaring Down South and also generated thousands of comments on social media.
