David Lee

Executive Vice President, External Affairs and Executive Director, Atlanta Hawks Foundation

David Lee was named the Executive Vice President, External Affairs and Executive Director, Atlanta Hawks Foundation in July 2014. Lee leads the company's strategic focus and programs in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility & Basketball Programs, the Atlanta Hawks Foundation, the Atlanta Hawks Alumni and Governmental & Civic Relations.

Lee began his career organizing international sporting event operations, which included oversight of new and temporary construction at eleven different competition venues involving the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, the 1994 FIFA World Cup and the 1993 World University Games. Over the past twenty years Lee has maximized revenue generation across a diverse portfolio of challenger brands, while his departments have delivered significant long-term value to the benefit of his companies.

After serving as President of Turnkey Plastic Solutions from 2010 to 2011, Lee returned to the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena as Vice President, Corporate Partnerships and Business Development in May 2011. Lee's primary focus was on driving performance in the sponsorship, broadcast and suite departments as well as directing the company's efforts in new and emerging revenue opportunities.

A native of Buffalo, NY and Howard University graduate, Lee's civic involvement includes: the Central Atlanta Progress (CAP), North Avenue Presbyterian Church, Wesley International Academy. He resides in Atlanta with his three young children.
