Grizzlies announce Make Your Own Luck 5-Game Pack

MEMPHIS, January 30, 2012 – The Memphis Grizzlies today announced that single-game tickets for the second half of the 2011-12 regular season will go on sale February 18 at 10 a.m. The team has also announced the introduction of a new ticket package to Grizz Nation, the ‘Make Your Own Luck 5-Game Pack,’ which is available for purchase immediately. By purchasing this pack, fans can guarantee their tickets to the biggest games of the second half of the season prior to the on-sale date.

After overcoming an 18-point fourth quarter deficit against Golden State on January 23, when Rudy Gay was asked towards the end of a postgame interview about his rare decision to wear a headband, Gay looked into the camera, pointed, and relayed a message to viewers at home: “Kids out there, make your own luck. Make your own luck.” The Grizzlies adhered to Gay’s advice and the ‘Make Your Own Luck 5-Game Pack’ was born. This pack allows fans to pick any five remaining home games and get them all for the same low price per game, starting at $12 in the Terrace Level and $60 in the Plaza Level. In addition, all Grizz fans purchasing this flexible ticket plan will receive a Grizzlies headband free.
The second-half home schedule is highlighted by the LA Lakers only visit to the FedExForum on Tuesday, March 13 where the first 10,000 fans will receive a Grizzlies rally flag presented by First Tennessee. It also includes two visits by the reigning NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, February 29 and Saturday, April 7. Other must-see games that highlight the second half of the season in Memphis include: Tuesday, March 27 against Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio and the Minnesota Timberwolves; Monday, April 9 against Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the LA Clippers; Wednesday, April 11 against Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns; Saturday, April 21 against LaMarcus Aldridge, Gerald Wallace and the Portland Trail Blazers; and the regular season finale on Thursday, April 26 against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic.

This year’s promotional items will also include some new and unique blue collar giveaways that are sure to make fans walk away from FedExForum happy, starting with the distribution of Grizzlies Hard Hats to the first 5,000 fans for the Feb. 18 tilt with the Golden State Warriors and again on March 16 against the Toronto Raptors when the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a Grizzlies Lunch Pail. The first 5,000 fans can pick up their very own Super Grizz mascot cape and mask set on March 18 vs. Washington. Those with a green thumb can get their Seed Packet on April 7 vs. Dallas when the Grizzlies host Go Green Night presented by International Paper. The giveaway schedule wraps up with Fan Appreciation Night on April 26 vs. Orlando, as the first 10,000 fans will receive Grizzlies Headbands, courtesy of First Tennessee. 

Grizzlies’ fans who want to be the first to purchase single-game tickets for the second half of the 2011-12 season can sign up for Grizzlies E-News, like the Grizzlies on Facebook or follow on Twitter (@memgrizz) by Wednesday, Feb. 15 and receive the opportunity to buy tickets before they go on sale to the public during a presale on Friday, Feb. 17.
