MEMPHIS, January 13, 2012 - — The Memphis Grizzlies today announced that the 10th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration Game on Monday, Jan. 16 against the Chicago Bulls is sold out. The celebration is hosted by the Memphis Grizzlies, National Civil Rights Museum, City of Memphis and Shelby County and presented by FedEx, Hyde Family Foundation, Lexus, Delta Air Lines, C-Spire, MLGW, Sun Trust and McDonald’s of the Mid-South.
Fans wishing to be part of the MLK Day celebration can still participate after the game by attending the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day High School Classic, presented by C-Spire. This year, the Dyer County Choctaws will tip-off the first contest against the Caruthersville Tigers at 3:30 p.m., followed by a contest between the Pulaski Academy Bruins vs. Briarcrest Saints.
Tickets for the MLK Day High School Classic are $10 and can be purchased at the FedExForum Box Office starting at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16. Fans purchasing MLK Day High School Classic tickets only will be allowed into FedExForum at the conclusion of the Grizzlies / Bulls game.
Fans also can catch the MLK Day Celebration Game featuring the Grizzlies and Bulls regionally by tuning into SportSouth starting at 11:30 a.m.

This annual event features NBA Legends George Gervin and Clyde Drexler, this year’s recipients of the National Civil Rights Sports Legacy Award, presented by FedEx. The day will pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as well as the athletes and others who have made significant contributions to civil and human rights through their lives and laid the foundation for future leaders in the spirit of Dr. King.
