Event to benefit Methodist Healthcare Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center
MEMPHIS, September 24, 2013 – Grizzlies guard Mike Conley is inviting basketball and bowling fans alike to join the fight against sickle cell at his Fifth Annual Bowl-n-Bash on Saturday, September 28 from 1 - 4 p.m. at Billy Hardwick’s All Star Lanes (1576 S. White Station Rd. Memphis, 38117).
The event, presented by City Auto, will benefit the Methodist Healthcare Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center. The center provides a preventative outpatient clinic and is Memphis’ first dedicated emergency infusion unit specifically for adult sickle cell patients. The center is focused on delivering the most innovative clinical care and developing advanced treatment that will improve the quality of life for patients and their families living with sickle cell.
By taking part in the event, fans will not only do their part to fight against sickle cell disease, they will also get a chance to spend a fun-filled afternoon with Conley, Mike Miller and his other Grizzlies teammates and special guests. Registration for the event is $125 for individuals or $500 for a team of four. All participants will receive a Bowl-n-Bash T-shirt. In addition to the T-Shirt, the teams will also receive free refreshments, autographed photos of Conley and four tickets to a Grizzlies’ pre-season game.
