901 Day Concert to Feature Performances by 8Ball & MJG, Big Boogie, Duke Deuce and more; 901 Sneaker Expo and Sneakfest Return to FedExForum; Street Fair Features Inflatables, Face Painters, Dunk Tank and more
Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies will celebrate 901 Day and the start of the 2022-23 season with the 901 Day Grizz Bash on Thursday, Sept. 1, from 5-8 p.m. on the plaza outside FedExForum. Grizz Nation is invited to FedExForum for an afternoon and evening filled with Memphis music, local food trucks, SneakFest, and more. This event is free to the public and parking will be available for guests in the Gossett Motors Parking Garage at no charge to attendees.
Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with local food trucks including Dynamic Duo, El Mero, AD’s and Stick ‘Em, as well as local brews and more. The celebration continues into the evening with a 901 Day Concert featuring hip hop duo 8Ball & MJG, Memphis based rappers Big Boogie and Duke Deuce and the Royal Studios House Band.
Throughout the afternoon fans will be able to celebrate what makes the 901 special with several local acts including music from DJ Mic Tee, a Wrestlin’ Throwdown featuring Mads Krugger, The GunShow, Dustin Starr and more, and a Jookin’ Battle Championship. Jookers hoping to compete for the championship – and a $500 prize – on 901 Day must pre-qualify on Sunday, Aug. 28, at Tasche Social Gallery (1730 Lamar Avenue). Click here for more information.
901 Day Grizz Bash will have something for all ages, including inflatables, face painters and a dunk tank, as well as free sneaker cleaning provided by Snkrr Bar. In addition, SneakFest is back at FedExForum with the 901 Sneaker Expo. SneakFest brings vendors from across the country to one place to provide fans with an opportunity to buy, sell or trade for an exclusive pair of sneakers. SneakFest will feature sneakers, clothing, accessories and more.
Attendees can make their way to the Grizzlies Den, A Fanatics Experience, to check out all the Grizzlies gear to get ready for the 22-23 season.
