Grizzlies defeat Dallas Mavericks, 108-94, for second consecutive win

The Memphis Grizzlies (5-13) defeated the Dallas Mavericks (11-7) on Friday at American Airlines Center, to win consecutive games for the first time this season.

Desmond Bane led Memphis with 30 points. The Grizzlies’ bench scored 58 points, led by a season-high 19 points from Jaylen Nowell. Santi Aldama posted his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Vince Williams Jr. finished one rebound shy of a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Derrick Jones Jr. and Grant Williams scored 16 points apiece for the Mavericks, who played without leading scorer Luka Doncic (personal reasons). Kyrie Irving added 10 points and five assists.

The Grizzlies led for the final 41:57 of game time and held 59-44 halftime advantage after holding Irving to one point and 0-for-7 shooting. Bane scored 18 of his 30 points in the first half. 

Memphis went on a 12-0 run with 10:27 left in regulation to take an 18-point lead. Nowell scored the Grizzlies’ first seven points of the final period.

The Grizzlies conclude their back-to-back Saturday, December 2, at 7 p.m. CT against the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center. The game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southeast and on 92.9 FM ESPN.
