Grizzlies sign Bryce Cotton for the remainder of the 2015-16 Regular Season

The Memphis Grizzlies today announced that the team has signed guard Bryce Cotton for the remainder of the 2015-16 regular season pursuant to the NBA’s hardship roster rules.

Cotton (6-1, 165) has played six games for the Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns this season and totaled six points, three assists and three steals in 34 minutes. He has made three appearances for the Grizzlies since signing a 10-day contract on April 1. Overall, the 23-year-old holds career averages of 4.1 points in 9.2 minutes in 21 games (zero starts) over two professional seasons with the Grizzlies, Suns and Utah Jazz.

Undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft following a four-year collegiate career at Providence College (2010-14), Cotton has appeared in 40 games (all starts) in two seasons with the NBA Development League’s Austin Spurs and recorded 22.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 39.2 minutes. The Tucson, Ariz. native also has played for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association.
