Grizzlies Connect is the organization’s overarching umbrella for all employee volunteer services. Each year Grizzlies players, coaches and front office staff give back to the community through a variety of impactful service driven projects.
Grizzlies Connect Day of Service
To tip off the 19-20 season, the Grizzlies organization participated in a beautification project at Bethel Grove Elementary school. Each year the Grizzlies host an annual day of service where the full team alongside several Grizzlies employees participate in a volunteer activity. Bethel Grove is a TITLE I Shelby County School, which means a large population of the student body is low-income students. Bethel Grove serves students grades pre-k through 5th grade.
Season of Giving - Feed the Children
Each year the Grizzlies host an annual Season of Giving event where the full team and coaching staff alongside several Grizzlies employees participate in an activation focused on spreading holiday cheer. This past year the organization hosted families and agencies from the community in association with Feed the Children, to supply food and several other household needs.
GrizzFam is the Grizzlies’ auxiliary group that supports the needs of the community throughout the Mid-South region. Members are comprised of the wives and significant others of the Grizzlies players, coaches, basketball operations and ownership staff. This past Season of Giving, GrizzFam hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at the Salvation Army’s Purdue Center of Hope for the eighth consecutive year. In addition, throughout the year, GrizzFam supports homeless women and children initiatives.
