Career Highlights: Earned Third Team All-Big Ten honors and was named to the league’s All-Freshman Team. Named Most Valuable Player of the 2008 MasterCard Postseason NIT and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. A member of the Greek U18 National Team. Averaged 26.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots in helping lead Greece to a silver medal at the 2007 UMCOR U18 European Championships held in Madrid, Spain. Tallied 37 points and pulled down 20 rebounds in the semifinals vs. Lithuania and scored 33 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the gold medal match vs. Serbia. Led the tournament in scoring and rebounding on his way to Most Valuable Player honors.

Freshman (2007-08): Ranked fifth in the Big Ten in scoring (14.4 ppg) and rebounding (6.7 rpg). Also ranked second in blocked shots (1.8 bpg) and seventh in field goal percentage (.508). Season total of 534 ranks as the second best all-time mark for a freshman in school history. Scored 20 or more points six times. Posted seven double-doubles. High School: Earned a selection to the McDonald’s All-America Team and also participated in the Jordan Brand All-American Classic. Averaged 25.9 points, 15.4 rebounds and 5.2 blocked shots on his way to Ohio Division I Player of the Year and First Team All-State honors as a senior. Averaged 24 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.0 blocked shots in an injury-shortened junior campaign and averaged 15.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.7 blocked shots as a sophomore.
