Career Highlights: Named Honorable Mention All-Big East Conference as a senior and Third Team as a junior. Became the Hurricanes' first Verizon Academic All-American in 2002-03. Earned Big East All-Academic honors each of his four seasons. Started 89 consecutive games for the Hurricanes over final three seasons, ranking third on UM's career list. Ranks third on Miami's career list for blocked shots (192) and games played (122). Ranks 11th on UM's career scoring list with 1,356 points.

Senior (2002-03): Led the team in blocks (1.8 bpg) and rebounds (6.0 rpg), and ranked second in scoring (16.9 ppg). Also averaged 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals. Was the Hurricanes' leading scorer in 13 games. Led the team in rebounding 16 times and scored 20 or more points nine times. Recorded three double-doubles. Ranked among the Big East leaders in scoring (13th), rebounding (15th), field goal percentage (10th), free throw percentage (8th) and blocked shots (7th). Became the 25th player in UM history to surpass 1,000 career points against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Junior (2001-02): Verizon Academic All-District III selection. Started all 31 games averaging 12.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.4 blocks and 1.3 steals. Led team in rebounding and blocks. Ranked third on the team in scoring. Ranked third in the Big East and 25th in the nation in blocks. Led or tied for the team lead in scoring five times. Led the team in rebounding 11 times. Recorded four double-doubles

Sophomore (2000-01): Started all 29 games at power forward. Averaged 11.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.6 blocks per game. Shot a team-best 41-87 (.471) from three-point range. Ranked third on the team in points and second in rebounds, steals and blocks. Ranked second on the team with 20 double-figure scoring games. Led the team in scoring six times.

Freshman (1999-00): Came off the bench to average 3.9 points and 1.9 rebounds.

Strengths: Has prototype size for the small forward position. Owns a pure shooting stroke and quick release. Is a versatile defender who can defend both guards and small forwards.

Personal: Finance major who carried a 3.405 GPA. Enjoys fishing, bowling and skiing. Uncle is Ricky Gutierrez of the Cleveland Indians. Aunt Lisa Jones played basketball at the University of Miami from 1988-90.
