About Terence Davis

Terence Davis is a gritty guard who grew into a well-rounded two-way standout over his four-year college career. Widely regarded as a top-225 prospect in the high school class of 2015, he played sparingly as a true freshman at Mississippi. Had a breakout sophomore year solidifying himself as one of the most productive guards in the SEC before making subtle strides over each of his final two seasons culminating in an All-SEC 2nd Team nod. Averaged 15.2  points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game to help the Rebels to an NCAA Tournament appearance before showing well at both the G League Elite Camp and NBA Draft Combine.

Chris Dortch feature: Ole Miss' Terence Davis ready for any NBA role

  • Has good size for a guard, measured at 6’4.5 in shoes with a 6’8.75 wingspan and a wiry strong 192-pound frame at the Combine. Goodall-around athlete whose physicality helps him maximize his tools.

  • Played both on and off the ball for the Rebels as a senior showing considerable improvement as a jump shooter. Served as Mississippi’s second option but got the opportunity to play some point guard as they created shots by committee with a deep guard rotation. Capable floor spacer who likes to fill lanes in the open court and flashes some ability to get to the rim off the dribble and make plays for others.

Defensive Analysis

  • Hard-nosed  defender with promising tools and toughness. Had to learn to dial back his physicality after struggling to guard without fouling early in his career. Active in the passing lanes. Shows nice intensity defending on the ball, chipping in on the glass, and even making an effort to help protect the rim. Possesses the length and strength to become fairly versatile.

  • Allowed 0.611 points per Isolation possession [74th percentile] as he held his own one-on-one at the college level.
