Tobias Harris Named Kia Western Conference Player Of The Month

The NBA today announced that L.A. Clippers forward Tobias Harris has been named Kia Western Conference Player of the Month for October and November. This is Harris’ first career Player of the Month honor. He was previously named Western Conference Player of the Week for Week 6 (games played Monday, November 19, through Sunday, November 25). The Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo was the Eastern Conference winner.

Harris helped lead the Clippers to a Western Conference-best 15-6 record over the first two months of the season, behind averages of 21.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in addition to shooting splits of 52.8 percent from the field, 44.0 percent from three-point range and 82.6 percent from the free-throw line. He was the NBA’s most efficient volume scorer in October and November, ranking first in effective field goal percentage (59.4 percent) among 38 players with at least 300 field goal attempts.

Now in his eighth NBA season, Harris is averaging career-highs in points (21.4), rebounds (8.5), field goal percentage (51.6%), three-point percentage (42.9%) & minutes (35.0). He is the only player in the NBA currently averaging at least 20 points and eight rebounds, while shooting over 42% from three-point range.

The Clippers won 11 of their last 13 games in November, including nine of their last 10 and have won nine straight at home, the NBA’s longest active home winning streak. L.A. is currently tied atop the Western Conference standings at 15-7.
