Los Angeles, CA – The Clippers managed to cut a 24-point deficit to just four with 2:33 to play in regulation, but Joel Embiid responded with a jumper for two of his game-high 28 points to seal a 119-113 Sixers victory on Tuesday night at Staples Center. Four Clippers logged 20 or more points, but it wasn’t quite enough to overcome Philadelphia’s 76-point first half.

Player of the Game: Montrezl Harrell

Montrezl Harrell turned in a valiant 20-point, 10-rebound performance, going toe to toe with Embiid on both ends of the floor for large stretches of the fourth quarter and sparking the Clippers near-comeback. Harrell was instrumental in the comeback effort, exhibiting his determination around the hoop with a variety of pump fakes and second-chance efforts that translated into a few ferocious dunks.

Key Stat of the Game:

The Clippers played with a renewed tenacity coming out of halftime, outscoring the 76ers, 55-43, in the second half. LA also forced 20 turnovers on the night.

The Clippers will have two days off before traveling to Phoenix to take on Devin Booker and the Suns.
