The Clippers aim for their seventh win in eight games as they host the Nets, who arrived in LA late Saturday night following their loss in Utah.
L.A. scored 45 points during the third quarter in a 128-121 win against Chicago, the highest-scoring quarter for the team in over five years. The Clippers turned a six-point deficit at halftime into an 18-point lead heading into the fourth quarter en route to the victory.
Gallinari’s Incredible Efficiency
Danilo Gallinari has been shooting the ball well over his past five games – 61.3 percent from the field and 64 percent from three. That efficiency has yielded nearly a point per minute during that span (25.8 points in 29.3 minutes per game). Gallinari will be looking to continue that run against the Nets, against whom he scored 28 points on just 14 attempts from the field during the Clippers win in November.
The Nets have won four of their last six games and sit in the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. D’Angelo Russell (20.2 points and 6.8 assists per game) and Spencer Dinwiddie (17.5 points and 4.9 assists per game) have both put together excellent seasons for Brooklyn.
Luc Mbah a Moute (knee) is out.
