Clippers Name Lamb Chief Financial Officer

The Los Angeles Clippers today announced that Patrick E. “Ed” Lamb has been named Chief Financial Officer.

Lamb joins the Clippers after serving as the CFO of Fremont General since 2004. A successful financial and accounting executive, Lamb was named the Senior Vice President of Fremont General in 2001 and started with Fremont in 1986 as the CFO of Fremont Financial Corporation, which was a nationwide asset-based commercial lender.

A frequent speaker at asset securitization conferences and MBA programs around the country, Lamb has written several articles that have appeared in various professional journals. Before joining Fremont, Lamb worked at Ernst & Whitney (now Ernst & Young) in San Francisco, serving primarily in the financial services industries in various audit and consulting engagements.

Lamb will be responsible for all financial aspects of the Clippers organization, including financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, insurance, league compliance and employee benefits. Lamb will work closely with Clippers management, the NBA, various sponsors and STAPLES Center management on a regular basis.

Lamb lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and their five children. He is active in the leadership of his church and various youth organizations, as well as coaching various youth sports teams. He serves on Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management’s Finance Advisory Board and its Undergraduate Advisory Board.
