LA Clippers Acquire Hyland from Denver Nuggets

The LA Clippers have acquired Bones Hyland from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for two second-round draft picks, announced Lawrence Frank, Clippers president of basketball operations.  

“Bones is an explosive young guard we’ve admired since the draft two years ago,” said Frank. “He is an excellent shooter, attacker and passer with deep range and boundless energy. We are excited to welcome Bones to the Clippers.”

Hyland, 22, appeared in 42 games for the Nuggets this season, averaging 12.1 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds. Originally selected with the 26th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Hyland appeared in 111 games with the Nuggets, averaging 10.9 points, 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 19.2 minutes. The 6-foot-2 guard has also appeared in five career playoff games and was named to the 2021-22 All-Rookie Second Team.
