David Enlisted in 2002, He is a fifteen year veteran and has been deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait.. His unit, the 326th FMSC out of Los Angeles, Ca. earned the Presidential Unit Citation for their efforts during their previous deployment in a combat zone. David will be deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and next month. Medals Earned/Awarded: Army Commendation Medal (3 times) Army Achievement Medal Army Good Conduct Medal Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (3 times) National Defense Medal Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal or (GWOTEM) Global War on Terrorism Service Medal or (GWOTSM) Iraq Campaign Medal with a Campaign Star Non Article 5 North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal (Afghanistan) Armed Forces Reserve Medal with an ‘M’ device (Mobilized) and Bronze hourglass denoting 10 years of service.

United States Marine Aircraft Recovery Sergeant – Leslie Martz.

Leslie began her service in the Marine Corps in 2005. She has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, participating in missions supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Sergeant Martz has received 2 Navy accommodation medals, combat action ribbon, global war on terrorism medals, overseas service and Iraq and Afghanistan campaign medals.

Hero of the Game: Captain Daniel Greer, KC-135 Pilot in the 452nd Air Mobility Wing (AMW) United States Air Force

Captain Daniel Greer, KC-135 Pilot in the 452nd Air Mobility Wing (AMW) United States Air Force.

Captain Greer has flown the KC-135 over 1,400 flight hours with 1,700 total flight hours in the military. Greer went to pilot training at Columbus AFB, MS. From 2003-2007 and was a KC-135 flight line Crew Chief.

Awards: I 1st Quarter 2016 Company Grade Officer of the Quarter in the 452nd AMW. 3 Air Medals (with over 60 combat missions flown), 2 Aerial Achievement Medals, and an Air Force Commendation Medal. Over 13 years in service (3 years Enlisted, 8 years Commissioned officer).

Captain Greer will deploy at the beginning of February to Turkey, and then he will be all over the Middle East.

We are honored to recognize the hero of the game: Staff Sergeant, Angel Mariscal United States Air Force.

Angel began his Military service in 1999 Air Force. In 2001 he was deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Northern Watch. In 2008 he was deployed to Afghanistan, attached to the Army’s 1st Infantry Brigade, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While deployed to Afghanistan he participated in humanitarian missions, convoy security missions, and logistical resupply missions

In 2012, Angel volunteered to deploy to Qatar in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as part of an integral combat readiness team. For his service he received an Air Force Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and various Overseas Campaign Medals. Angel has also been stationed in New Mexico, Germany, North Dakota, and Arizona.


Hero of the Game: Petty Officer First Class Fredrick L. Nichols II of the United States Navy

We are honored to recognize the hero of the game: Petty Officer First Class Fredrick L. Nichols II of the United States Navy.

Every Monday this season the Clippers celebrate “Military Monday” presented by Crown Royal, where we recognize a military hero. Tonight’s honoree is Petty Officer First Class Fredrick L. Nichols II re-enlisted for another 4 year of service with the United States Navy. Nichols was born and raised in Long Beach, CA and an Avid LA Clippers fan. He enlisted into the Navy in 2003 and reported to Great Lakes, IL for basic training.

His current sea tour is onboard the USS KIDD (DDG-100). Some of his shore assignments include: Yokohama, Japan, United States Embassy Manilla, and the Philippines .He also participated in multiple joint forces operations.

His personal awards Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Military Volunteer Service Medal, NATO Medal, NATO Liberation of Lybia Medal, and various unit decorations.


Military Mondays

Military Mondays will occur each Monday of the regular season. Tickets purchased through GovX.com or through military@clippers.com will have access to watch pre-game warmups prior to the game and a complimentary T-shirt for each ticket purchased.
