The L.A. Clippers have signed guard Amir Coffey to a two-way contract it was announced by Clippers President of Basketball Operations, Lawrence Frank. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Coffey, who went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, signed a two-way contract for the Clippers. The Minnesota native spent three collegiate seasons at the University of Minnesota, where he averaged 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 33.7 minutes throughout his career. As a junior, the 6’8” guard led his team in scoring (16.6), assists (3.2) and minutes (35.2) and was named All-Big Ten Third Team. He shot 44.8 percent from the field including 32.8 percent from three-point range.
