The Los Angeles Clippers today announced that two-time Grammy-nominated artist Mali Music will perform at halftime of the Clippers game on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at STAPLES Center against the Lakers.
Mali Music received two GRAMMY nominations - Best Urban Contemporary Album for his ByStorm/RCA Records debut album Mali Is… and Best Gospel Performance/Song for his moving single “I Believe.”
Mali Music made his presence known earlier this year with the summer release of Mali Is…, which entered at #2 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and became a favorite among critics including The New York Times, NPR, VIBE and Complex among others. In support of the album, Mali made his primetime national television debut performance of his Top 10 single “Beautiful” on American Idol, and USA TODAY declares Mali Music as one of the “Hidden Gems” from the GRAMMY nominations.
