Clippers to host pre-draft workout Monday, Assistant GM Trent Redden to answer fans’ questions on social media
For teams that hold picks in this month’s draft, the preparation process is painstakingly meticulous, searching through and digesting as much information as possible on the current crop of prospects. With just over two weeks remaining before the draft, teams are essentially cramming for a final — a high stakes, highly publicized test. Since last year’s draft, the Clippers have scoured the globe doing their homework on potential draftees, but on Monday they’ll be studying at home.
On June 4, the Clippers will host their first pre-draft workout open to the media, bringing in players to run through drills and play in game-like scenarios under the watchful eye of the team’s front office and coaching staff. Following the workout, the players, President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank, and Assistant General Manager Trent Redden will be made available to attending media.
Fans at home will have a unique opportunity to participate in the media session. Redden has invited fans to send draft and Clipper-related questions under the hashtag #AskTrent by replying to any Clippers social media post or visiting clippers.com/asktrent
