Clippers Release 2014-15 Schedule

Team Set to Appear in 32 Nationally Televised Games; Single Game Tickets On Sale Friday at Noon

The Los Angeles Clippers tip-off the 2014-15 NBA regular season schedule on Thursday, October 30 at STAPLES Center against the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:30 p.m. in a nationally televised game on TNT. The Clippers will face the Los Angeles Lakers the following night on Halloween as the road team at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Because of increased demand, single game tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 15 at 12:00 p.m. PT. Approximately 1,000 tickets will be on sale per game.

The Clippers play eight of their first nine games at STAPLES Center, with their only trip away from Los Angeles being a matchup against their Pacific Division rivals the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, Nov. 5. Other STAPLES Center highlights to start the season include a tilt against the NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs on Monday, Nov. 10 and a game against Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls on Monday, Nov. 17.

The Clippers 32 nationally televised games is the highest number in franchise history, with the Clippers scheduled to appear four times on ABC, nine times on TNT, 10 times on ESPN and nine times on NBA TV. Over the last three seasons, the Clippers have appeared in at least 29 nationally televised games each season. The Clippers regional broadcast schedule on Prime Ticket will be released at a later date.

Other memorable games on the schedule include a clash against Golden State on Christmas Night and the lone visit of the season from LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, Jan. 16. The Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat visit on Sunday, Jan. 11 and the Spurs make their final STAPLES Center visit on Thursday, Feb. 19. The Clippers will play Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks on New Year’s Eve.

The Clippers will play 19 sets of back-to-back games in 2014-15 and have six road trips of three games or more, including one eight-game road swing (Jan. 28-Feb. 9) and one seven-game road trip (Nov. 19-Nov. 29). It is the second time since 2004-05 that there have been two road trips of seven or more games in the same season. The longest home stretch for the team is nine games, which happens once during the season (Dec. 25-Jan. 11).

Los Angeles faces every team in the Western Conference a total of four times (two home and two away), with the exception of the Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder, who they will play three times each.
