Celtics Recall James Young from Maine Red Claws

BOSTON – The Boston Celtics announced today that they have recalled guard/forward James Young from the Maine Red Claws.

In Maine’s 110-109 loss to Grand Rapids on Thursday, March 19, Young tallied 14 points, one rebound and two assists in 29 minutes. He has appeared in 11 games for the Red Claws this season and is averaging 22.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 33.2 minutes per game, while shooting 47.4 percent from behind the arc. Young recorded a season-high 13 points for the Celtics against the Hornets on January 5 on 5-7 (.714) shooting from the field in 18 minutes, and is averaging 3.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game in 29 contests with the team this season.
