BOSTON (Dec. 2, 2010) – The Boston Celtics and OMAM teamed up to provide 150 homeless women and children hot and healthy meals at Rosie’s Place today. The meals were prepared by members of the Celtics and OMAM staff and served by Celtics center Kendrick Perkins, President Rich Gotham, Celtics Women’s Group member Judy Pagliuca and OMAM interim CEO Linda Gibson.

“It is always special to give back to the community, especially during the holiday season,” Perkins said. “I am happy to team up with OMAM to provide these families with hot and healthy meals.”

Members of the Celtics and OMAM staffs volunteered by preparing the meals and distributing them.

“OMAM seeks to support community members in need, and our partnership with the Celtics and Rosie’s Place has allowed us to maximize our impact in the community” says Gibson. “We are grateful to partner with these two strong contributors to our community, and are pleased to dedicate our time and resources so that others could enjoy hot meals during this holiday season.”
