"By age 14, many girls are dropping out of sports, at two times the rate of boys."1

JCA is striving to help change that.

Jr. Celtics Academy is on a mission to help change the basketball landscape for young girls in New England. As the percentage of young girls in basketball continue to drop, JCA is creating programming that provides a save and positive environment that builds community, allowing for girls to learn and engage in basketball. Helping to inspire and foster belonging.

JCA celebrated Women’s history month on March 16th by kicking off a new program - All Girls Showcase was JCA’s first step in building a girl’s only community in basketball.

The two-day event offered participants a chance to meet women in sports, participate in a workshop hosted by the Soul Project, and develop their basketball skills on court. All with the intention to helping your girls have a transformational experience that goes beyond the court, that excites, motivates and engages young girls.
