10 Things To Know About Kalya
Where are you from?
One interesting thing about your home town?
Martin Luther King Jr was raised in Georgia, and you can still walk through his home!
What do you do in your free time?
I LOVE my quiet time, reading, eating brunch, and giving back. My hobby: Food Connoisseur!
Favorite junk food?
How many pairs of shoes do you have?
...Maybe 8. I’m a minimalist! (really)... and I lost 2 pairs on the way to Istanbul, Turkey!
You're throwing a birthday party. What three celebrities do you invite?
Michelle Obama, Ne-Yo and Mike Epps.
Do you have any special talents?
Not really... I am super crafty though! I love HGTV and Martha Stewart!
What made you want to become a Celtics Dancer?
Their dedication, precision and professionalism; I wanted to dance with the best and they are it!
What is the best part about being a Celtics dancer?
There are so many awesome things about this opportunity that it is hard to pinpoint one, but one I enjoy is simply seeing Boston lit up with green. This city loves their Celtics, and to be a part of that “big beautiful circle” warms my heart... Consistently! You see green daily around Boston.
What are your career aspirations?
To thrive as a dancer, wherever that takes me; to be the face of an awesome philanthropic cause and to work in the community and give back through the arts.
What is your favorite Alex and Ani bangle?
My favorite Alex and Ani charm bangle is the "Seven Swords Horizontal" bangle. It represents the seven archangels and their world of higher power, love, and (to me) protection.
