Basketball Software Engineer - Basketball Operations

The Boston Celtics are seeking a Software Engineer for the team’s basketball data group. The Software Engineer will work within our basketball data science team to maintain and build upon existing data infrastructure and web applications to support our group’s data analysis and our organization’s basketball decision-making processes. Both remote and Boston-based candidates will be considered as will varying levels of experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work within our basketball data science team (specifically our software engineering group) to design and build decision-support systems and tools.

Facility Operations and Event Coordinator

Principal Function:

This position is a blended position of facility operations support and event coordination. Based at the main reception desk, this person will support day-to-day facility operations including greeting visitors and vendors, accepting mail and deliveries at the loading dock, and ordering and stocking office supplies. This individual must be able to take initiative and work independently, adjusting responsibilities on any given day to the priorities of the day’s varied schedule, which may include team practices and walkthroughs, special events, and facility maintenance days. Responsibilities Include:

Facility Operations - Reception

  • Answer the door, greet guests and vendors, and filter appropriately

  • Manage incoming calls

  • Accept mail and packages, sign for deliveries at the loading dock

  • Must be able to move a pallet using a pallet jack and be able to move deliveries in excess of 50 lbs.

  • Order and stock office and staff kitchen supplies

Responsibilities Include:

  • Schedule Color Guards for all Celtics home games

This unique position acts as a bridge between the Celtics employee base and the complex and varied technology systems in use for IT and Events/Production.
