Go Math! Academy

Go Math! Academy

Program Overview

During the spring of 2015, the Boston Celtics and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) launched a math program using an interactive educational platform called Go Math! Academy. Using the SCORE web portal, students in grades three through five in all public, private, parochial and charter schools within 75 miles of the TD Garden in Boston have an opportunity to engage with the technology and qualify their school for an experience with the Boston Celtics.

Visitors to the webpage are encouraged to participate in a friendly, regional math challenge by solving five engaging basketball-themed math problems developed by HMH learning architects. The school with the most participants wins an in-school visit from Lucky and a Celtics player, while all participating students would receive a free trial of Go Math! Academy and a downloadable poster of Lucky.
