It was a supreme night on Wednesday, as Mo Williams was dancing in the streets and Matthew Dellavedova was with my girl.

Quicken Loans Arena transformed into Motown on Wednesday, November 11th, as the Cleveland Cavaliers and Flashes of Hope welcomed 1,000 guests for the 2015 “Big Shots and Little Stars” fundraiser. The annual event benefits Flashes of Hope and The Children’s Tumor Foundation.

Guests, including Cavs coaches and front office staff, walked into the Motor City on the main concourse of The Q, complete with its own version of Hitsville U.S.A.  Solid-gold hits played overhead as guests enjoyed food and drinks, checked out fantastic auction items, and even rubbed shoulders with Wine and Gold “classics” – Legends like Austin Carr and Campy  Russell.

Allison Clarke, founder of Flashes of Hope, and Dan Gilbert, majority owner of the Cavaliers, kicked off the official show, which also featured Cavs in-arena hosts, Ahmaad and Nicole. After a touching video, it was time for the highlight of the night: the runway show.

The entire Cavaliers roster was joined by several Cleveland Gladiators players and 20 other “big shots” – Cleveland area business leaders – in escorting their “little stars” – pediatric cancer survivors – down the runway.  There was twirling and posing galore, all to the beat of popular Motown songs like “Sugar Pie Honeybunch” and “Stop in the Name of Love.”

How sweet it is to be able to spend such a wonderful night for a wonderful cause!

Cavaliers Players Walk the Runway for a Worthy Cause

On Wednesday, November 11th, Quicken Loans Arena will transform into Motown, and Cavs players will trade in their jerseys for well-tailored suits.  Instead of running the court, they will walk the runway.  And instead of their usual role of “big shots,” they will gladly sit the bench for the “little stars” of the night – pediatric cancer survivors.  On Wednesday the Cleveland Cavaliers will once again host the annual “Big Shots and Little Stars” fundraiser, to benefit Flashes of Hope and The Children’s Tumor Foundation.

The highlight of the evening will be the always-inspirational fashion show, which will see Cavs players paired with pediatric cancer survivors, strutting their stuff on the runway. Fans can watch LIVE on CAVS.COM starting at approximately 8:00 p.m. ET as their favorite players and other Cleveland-area “Big Shots” accompany their “Little Stars” for a walk through Motor City, set to the tune of solid-gold Motown hits!
