Official Cavaliers Summer Camps Program

Students are preparing to scorch up the courts this summer as the National Basketball Academy will again host the official 2012 Cleveland Cavaliers Summer Camps Program! The popular youth basketball training camps return to Northeast Ohio and Pittsburgh, PA beginning June 11th. Cavs guard Daniel “Boobie” Gibson will make a special appearance to dish out lessons to campers at two special overnight and day camps starting July 8-12 and 9-13.

Campers will be teamed up by age, skill and gender when possible, ranging in ages from 7-16 years old. The camp curriculum will feature skill development stations such as shot mechanics, ball handling, passing, defense and rebounding. Campers’ progress will be tested by daily skill competitions, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games, and each camp will feature guest speakers to engage and motivate the youngsters. Participants will also receive a ticket to a 2012-13 season Cavs game, a skills packet, a Cavs t-shirt and their very own basketball to put their newly learned skills into action.
