Cavs Announce 2016-17 Promotional Schedule

The NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers 2016-17 promotional schedule features a full lineup of unique giveaways and special theme nights for fans attending games to see the reigning champs in action at Quicken Loans Arena this season. The just announced promotional schedule complements the on sale for single game tickets (remaining 40 home games, excluding Home Opener) beginning TOMORROW, Thursday, September 29th at noon for the 2016-17 Cavs season presented by Discount Drug Mart.

Commemorating a Championship
A new season tips off on Tuesday, October 25th vs. New York Knicks with the historic Championship Celebration Home Opener presented by Kenda Tires. In what will be an unprecedented opening night in Cleveland sports history, the Cavs will raise the first-ever NBA Championship banner to the rafters of The Q and commemorate the team’s historic achievement with the presentation of the 2016 championship rings in a pregame ceremony. Each fan in attendance will receive a 2016-17 Cavs Schedule Magnet presented by Kenda Tires and a Cavs T-Shirt presented by Cleveland Clinic.

At the second home game on Saturday, October 29th vs. the Orlando Magic, fans will receive a Mini Replica Championship Banner giveaway presented by Mountain Dew, and on Thursday, December 29th at the Cavs vs. Boston Celtics matchup, everyone gets a Cavs Championship Banner Blanket presented by Phantom Fireworks.

Fan-favorite Giveaway Highlights
The Cavs are home for the holidays this season, hosting the Golden State Warriors at The Q on Sunday, December 25th. All fans in attendance will receive a Cavs T-Shirt presented by FirstEnergy.

Additionally, several fan-favorite theme nights and community initiatives return this season, including:

  • Hoops for Troops Night presented by Ohio CAT on Tuesday, November 8th vs. Atlanta Hawks
  • Chinese New Year Celebration on Friday, January 27th vs. Brooklyn Nets
  • Black Heritage Celebration presented by Hennessy on Wednesday, February 1st vs. Minnesota Timberwolves and Monday, February 27th vs. Milwaukee Bucks
  • Los Cavs Noche Latina presented by Crown Royal returns on Monday, March 6th against the Miami Heat

Special Theme Night Highlights
The Cavs will host six Hardwood Classics Nights presented by Elk &Elk this season, turning the clock back to revisit the Cavaliers of 1980s. Fans in attendance on Hardwood Classics Nights will enjoy a trip down memory lane to the 80s, when the Cavaliers played at the Richfield Coliseum. Special Hardwood Classics uniforms for the 2016-17 season will be revealed at a later date.

The always popular Postgame Fan Free Throw experience will be held once a month for fans of all ages to come down to the Cavs court postgame to shoot a free throw like a pro.

Steeped in tradition, the 15th Annual Fan Appreciation Night presented by Discount Drug Mart concludes the regular season on Wednesday, April 12th when the Cavs host the Toronto Raptors at The Q. During this signature celebration the Cavaliers will thank the best fans in the NBA for their season-long support by giving away over $1 MILLION in prizes!

Single Game Ticket Info
All fans will have the opportunity to purchase from the limited number of tickets that will be available for each of the remaining 40 home games (excluding the Home Opener) on a first-come, first served basis while supplies last beginning Thursday, September 29th at Noon. There will be a six (6) ticket limit per transaction, per game (no game limit). Fans can purchase single game tickets online only at Cavs.com. Tickets will be distributed through Flash Seats, the Cavs electronic ticketing platform.

Tickets to Cavs games are never sold out, though, as they are always available on Flash Seats, the only official team-sanctioned marketplace where fans have the ability to buy, transfer and resell their game seats in a safe, secure and 100% guaranteed digital marketplace. The Flash Seats marketplace is open NOW for tickets to the Cavs Home Opener and will open for the remainder of the 41-game schedule at noon on Thursday, September 29th.
