Derrick Rose wanted no part of the Knicks’ plans for him

Kyrie Irving wants the Knicks. Derrick Rose did not.

The divorce was mutual when Rose accepted the Cavaliers’ veteran minimum for one year, $2.1 million last week.

The Knicks, who kept in contact with Rose until the end, never offered him the veteran’s minimum, according to an NBA source. - CLICK HERE to read full story.

LeBron James is training with Eric Bledsoe, which sparked rumors about the Suns guard being included in a trade for Kyrie Irving.

But LeBron and Bledsoe have worked out together in previous years, and obviously Phoenix never traded Bledsoe to the Cavaliers.

LeBron and Bledsoe share an agent, Rich Paul. Paul – in addition to bigger names like John Wall and Ben Simmons – also represents Tristan Thompson and J.R. Smith, who’ve both signed lucrative contracts with Cleveland.

J.R. Smith has real issue with Tracy McGrady’s comment “Anybody can win a championship”

Tracy McGrady is bound for the basketball Hall of Fame and said this recently:

“Social media can give a lot of people voices these days, and the first thing they say is ‘No rings, no rings.’ You have to have a great team and some luck to get a ring, right? Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with that. But I go back at them with this: Anybody can win a championship. Everybody can’t get in the Hall of Fame.
