I am most proud of: Becoming a Cavalier Girl. I dreamed about it my whole life. When I was younger I didn’t think I would actually be able to do it but I made it happen!
What is your dancing background and experience? I started dancing at the age of about 3 and took ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary classes up until now. I also was a competitive cheerleader for my school and all-star gym for 5 years and a collegiate cheerleader for 1 year. I was on my college dance team for 2 years too, and I truly believe my combined experience has shaped who I am today as a performer and Cavalier Girl.
Why did you decide to audition for the Cavalier Girls? I’ve been a Cavs fan my whole life and have always wanted to be a Cavalier Girl since I was little.
If you can say anything to Cavalier fans, what would you say? Thank you for being the best fans in the league!! Nobody has heart quite like Cleveland does.
What advice would you give someone who dreams of becoming a Cavalier Girl? Keep up with a healthy diet and exercise regime and take as many dance classes as you can! Never give up, persistence is key.
What do you like most about being a part of the Cavalier Girls? Inspiring other women and girls to follow their dreams like I did. Two ladies from my college dance team personally told me that I inspired them to audition for NBA dance teams after they graduate.
Most memorable Cavalier Girl moment so far? My dad is an army vet and I was visiting him in the VA hospital. He told his roommate that I was a Cavalier Girl and I offered to show him our dance in honor of Veteran’s Day. I showed him the video from our Bugle Boy dance and he was singing and dancing and watched it over and over. It really cheered him up!
Hardest part about being a Cavalier Girl? Time management; balancing dancing for the Cavs, my other job, and having somewhat of a social life is difficult but I make it work!
