Loving Ashley? Here's Even More About Her

DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES? "Ash”. Some of my closest friends call me “Bash” or “Basher” "

BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT? So far, I would say it has been my proven ability last season to successfully balance my workload and maintain a separate career while being a CG. I aspired to be a professional dancer my entire life and up until recently, I never thought it was possible if I had plans to support myself with a business career.

A FAILURE YOU LEARNED FROM: The first time I went out for the Cavalier Girls on a whim and got cut after becoming a top finalist. It kept me eager to stay positive, determined, and come back a year later more experienced with a fresh and confident mindset. I trained better for what I was getting into and applied myself. Hard work and a little fuel under your feet go a long way!

WHAT FAMOUS PERSON (DEAD OR ALIVE) WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH? Audrey Hepburn. She has such timeless elegance and class and I’d love to experience a day in the life of a woman from her generation.

What is your guilty pleasure? Carb-loaded Italian food

What would be your super power? To fly – mostly for every day convenience but also for pleasure to travel anywhere I’ve dreamed of going

What celebrity would play you in a movie about yourself: Mila Kunis

I am most proud of: To have been a part of Cleveland’s first ever NBA Championship last season. The long 10 month season stretch required a lot of hard work and sacrifices but in the end I was the most rewarded I’ve ever felt. It’s an experience that can never be subdued with time and it will remain close to my heart for life.

What is your dancing background and experience? I began dance at age 4 and grew up in my childhood studio training and competing in various styles – ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, lyrical/contemporary. In high school I was able to be part of my studio’s ballet company as well as my high school’s dance team and in college I went on to receive my minor of Fine Arts in Dance.

Why did you decide to audition for the Cavalier Girls? My dance career had come to a halt after completing my Minor in Dance and I really missed it after starting my career. I couldn’t seem to fill the void and aspired to put passion and purpose back into my life. I finally mustered the courage to audition and go after a lifelong dream.

If you can say anything to Cavalier fans, what would you say? Thanks for being the absolute best fans in the world. You make our job so much fun and that much more special!

What advice would you give someone who dreams of becoming a Cavalier Girl? It’s never too late to follow your dreams. Never let fear, uncertainty, or rejection stop you. Work hard, stay determined, and leverage your personal strengths and passion to get you where you want to be. If you can dream it, you can do it.

What do you like most about being a part of the Cavalier Girls? Being inspired every day by my teammates and having the opportunity to live out my passion at such a high level of exposure in my hometown. It’s an honor to be part of something so special that means so much to the city I love.

Most memorable Cavalier Girl moment so far? Without a doubt the night the Cavs made history and became champions. Even better, it was Father’s Day and with my Dad being a longtime Cleveland sports fan, all I could think about was his sheer joy in that moment we realized we had the title. The town was filled such overwhelming love and pride and I will never forgot how grateful and proud I felt.

Hardest part about being a Cavalier Girl? Making sure I give 110% to this role and all that is entailed in the title of a CG. With a hectic schedule that includes both a day job and Cavalier Girls, I am challenged every day not only as a dancer but also as the individual I am. Being a CG is a huge privilege and I strive to embody the title to its fullest, even on a rough day!
