Pending necessary approvals being obtained, including from the Illinois Gaming Board, FanDuel's newest in-arena sportsbook lounge will bring the excitement of sports wagering inside the United Center where fans can enjoy the action of Bulls and Blackhawks games all season long.

Plans for the FanDuel Sportsbook at the United Center include a two-story venue unlike any sportsbook in North America. Located adjacent to the United Center atrium, the book is designed to ensure no fan misses out on the action as it would be equipped with state-of-the-art viewing and sports wagering technology, as well as a full-service team ready to deliver a personalized customer experience.

The addition of a sportsbook within the United Center would mark a strategic expansion of the partnerships FanDuel enjoys with both the Bulls and Blackhawks, which includes media, VIP fan experience and advertising assets throughout the arena and in various broadcasts. While awaiting approval of the sportsbook from the Illinois Gaming Board, the United Center and FanDuel will build out a non-wagering space adjacent to the United Center atrium that will have FanDuel branding and allow fans to watch live sports action while attending United Center events.

About United Center's Support of Covid-19 Regional Response Efforts

Beginning in April and lasting through the summer, the United Center served as a satellite storage facility for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The building also hosted PPE drives through the summer and fall in partnership with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led global disaster response organization, and Project C.U.R.E., the world's largest distributor of donated medical equipment and supplies to resource-limited communities. In October, the United Center partnered with the Christmas in the Wards organization for their "Day of Giving" event where they provided a safe place for communities most affected by Covid-19 to collect donations.

In November, the United Center served as a super polling site on Election Day that allowed nearly 2,000 Chicago residents a place to safely register to vote, cast their ballot in person or hand-deliver a mail-in ballot all while remaining socially distanced.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE CHICAGO BOARD OF ELECTIONS

CHICAGO – On November 3, 2020, the Chicago Board of Elections will utilize the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, as an Election Day Voting Super Site for the first time in the arena's history. In partnership with the United Center, the Chicago Board of Elections is expanding safe and accessible voting options and designating the United Center as an additional option for Chicago voters.

"We are proud to partner with the United Center to make voting even easier for Chicagoans on Election Day," said Chicago Board of Election Chairwoman Marisel Hernandez. "We're encouraging everyone to plan their vote – whether that's by mail, early in person, or in person on Election Day – there are multiple options and we hope Chicagoans will choose the option most convenient for them to vote."

On Election Day, the United Center, located at 1901 W. Madison, will be open to all Chicago voters from 6:00AM – 7:00PM CT and will provide same-day voter registration, Vote by Mail ballot return, and in-person voting.

All COVID-19 safety guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Illinois Department of Public Health will be in place at the United Center, and voters can expect to see 6 feet of distance between polling stations, plexiglass dividers, and hand sanitizer, with masks available as needed.

The Chicago Board of Elections encourages everyone to make a plan to vote this election. If voters plan to register in-person on Election Day, they'll need two forms of identification, at least one of which shows the voter's current address. The United Center will also have a Secured Drop Box available for voters to return Vote by Mail ballots in their signed, sealed Ballot Return Envelope.

To access the polling place, voters will be directed to park in Lot K (gate off Adams Street) and enter via the South Atrium Entrance.

CHICAGO – The City of Chicago along with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led global disaster response organization, will be teaming up with the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks, to launch a personal protective equipment (PPE) donation drop-off beginning Monday, April 13, 2020.

Team Rubicon volunteers will collect PPE items that are in critical shortage, sort PPE based on priority, and coordinate the distribution to vulnerable populations and essential work staff.

"Team Rubicon is a powerful group of veterans with a meaningful mission," said Terry Savarise, Executive Vice President and COO, United Center. "We are honored to have the opportunity to work with them as we continue the fight against coronavirus in our community."

The PPE donation drop-off will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the United Center's East Atrium located at 16 South Wood Street, Lot H. As a first step, donors should visit chi.gov/donatePPE to review donation guidelines and directions on how to help. The City is requesting the following PPE supplies, which will be collected using proper social distancing protocol.

Acting as a satellite storage facility for the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) and playing host to Project C.U.R.E.'s recent PPE drive, Team Rubicon's donation drop-off location at the United Center is a welcome addition to the arena's ongoing efforts to aid in the city's relief efforts by operating as a logistics hub.

A Message to all United Center Fans and Visitors:

You are the most important part of the United Center. We want you always to have an exceptional experience when you are our guest. It's important we share with you the steps we are taking for your health and safety as the coronavirus situation continues to unfold.

In ongoing talks with medical experts, government leaders and league officials, we have decided to supplement our already stringent health and safety protocols outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with additional measures.

The entire United Center is cleaned and sanitized thoroughly before and after every event, especially the arena seating areas and public fan areas. To ensure the utmost safety precautions, however, we have decided to increase our cleaning capabilities, with additional staff and protocols.

Our professionals are using hospital-grade disinfectant and continually wiping down all surfaces, such as countertops, door handles and arm rests. We have also added multiple hand sanitation stations at all entrances and in high-traffic areas of the arena. And, of course, soap and cleaning products will be overstocked in all bathrooms for visitor use.

The areas of the United Center used by our players and staff will experience similar enhanced measures and attention.

If you are experiencing respiratory or related issues, the CDC suggests you should not attend events with large numbers of people.

CHICAGO – The United Center announced today that it has become the first sports and entertainment venue in Chicago to be certified as sensory inclusive in partnership with KultureCity, a leading non-profit revolutionizing and pushing change in the community to aid those with sensory needs. According to STAR Institute – a leading treatment center for individuals with sensory processing disorder – one in six people experience sensory symptoms that affect their everyday life. The building will now better serve these individuals, including children and adults with autism, dementia, PTSD and other similar conditions, during its events.

United Center staff has been trained by leading medical professionals on recognizing guests with sensory needs and how to properly handle a sensory overload situation. Blackhawks and Bulls front office staff have also received training as part of the certification process.

The United Center will have sensory bags that contain noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards and weighted lap pads available at every event for guests who may feel overwhelmed by the environment. Sensory bags can now be picked up at Guest Relations Booths located inside Gates 2 and 6 on the 100-level, Section 221 and Section 325. A designated quiet room will also be available to guests at Section 115.
