September 3, 2010 — The Chicago Bulls today announced their television broadcast schedule for the 2010-11 season, with Comcast SportsNet and WGN-TV/WCIU overseeing all local television duties. All 82 regular season games will be televised, as well as all eight preseason games. The Bulls will make 39 nationally-televised appearances on TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBA-TV and WGN America.

Comcast SportsNet will televise 42 regular season games, with five of those games being televised on Comcast SportsNet Plus. Comcast SportsNet will also broadcast six of the Bulls’ eight preseason contests, including two on Comcast SportsNet Plus. WGN-TV will televise 24 regular season contests, plus one preseason contest. Of these, 15 regular season games will appear on WGN America. Rounding out the local TV schedule, WCIU-TV will air seven regular season games and one preseason contest, produced by WGN Sports. Neil Funk and Stacey King will call all local telecasts.

“Once again we are very pleased that Bulls fans in the Chicago area will have the ability to watch every Bulls game on television,” said Bulls Executive Vice President of Business Operations Steve Schanwald. “Our arena seats just under 21,000 fans and, while watching the game on TV can’t replicate the atmosphere of actually being there and “Loving it Live”, these telecasts are the next best thing, and they play a very important role in satisfying the demand of millions of Bulls fans for access to their favorite basketball team. We are especially pleased to note that 39 of our games will be televised nationally, so that all our fans outside the Chicago area will be able to follow us all season long as well.”

The Bulls tip off the 2010-11 campaign on WGN-TV on October 27 with a 7:00 p.m. game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Comcast SportsNet will air its first contest of the regular season on October 30 at 7:00 p.m., as the Bulls take on the Detroit Pistons at the United Center. Chicago will make its WCIU-TV regular season debut on November 1 at 7:00 p.m., when they play host to the Portland Trail Blazers.

In addition to Chicago’s 15 nationally-televised games on WGN America, the team will also appear on TNT seven times, ESPN nine times, NBA-TV nine times and ABC twice.
