Bulls championship trophies hit the road
Fans invited to view and take photos with Bulls six NBA championship trophies
The Chicago Bulls are offering their fans the opportunity to get up close with the team's six NBA Championship trophies by hosting a trophy tour at different locations throughout the area.
The seventh stop on the trophy tour will take place on Monday, December 12 at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Niles from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. At Monday’s trophy tour stop, fans will get to view and take photos with the team’s six Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophies (‘91, ‘92, ’93, ’96, ‘97, and ‘98). Bill Wennington, Chuck Swirsky and Benny the Bull will also be at the event.
Throughout the past few months, the Bulls have been offering fans the opportunity to get up close with the team’s six NBA Championship trophies. The Bulls tipped off the trophy tour on Nov. 3 at Chicago's Water Tower Place on North Michigan Avenue. Bill Wennington and Randy Brown, members of three NBA Championship teams (1996-98), as well as Bob Love and Benny the Bull, were at the tip-off event. The second stop on their trophy tour took take place Nov. 11 at Rock ‘n’ Roll McDonald’s, with Stacey King, Johnny Bach, Wennington, Love and Benny the Bull on hand. The third stop took place Nov. 16 at the James R. Thompson Center with Wennington, Chuck Swirsky, Sidney Green and Benny the Bull on hand, as well as Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White and the famous Jesse White Tumbling Team. The fourth stop on the trophy tour took place on Nov. 25 at the Bulls/Sox Academy in Lisle, and the fifth stop was Dec. 3 at Northbrook Court. Most recently, the trophy tour was at the ESPN 1000 (WMVP-AM) studio on Dec. 9.
