Bulls announce 2011-12 regular season schedule with Christmas Day opener

December 6, 2011 – The Chicago Bulls will tip off their 46th season on Dec. 25 on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers. The game, scheduled to tip at 4:00 p.m. (CT), will be nationally televised on ABC.

Following four games out West, Chicago will tip off its 33-game home schedule on Jan. 1 versus the Memphis Grizzlies. Tip time is set for 7:00 p.m. (CT) at the United Center on New Year’s Day.

Chicago’s home schedule will feature the Boston Celtics on Feb. 16 and April 5. The Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat will visit the UC on March 14 and April 12, while the NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks will come to town on April 21.

Prior to Chicago’s Christmas Day game versus the Lakers, the Bulls will play two preseason games against the Indiana Pacers. Chicago will play at Indiana on Dec. 16, with a tip time of 6:00 p.m. (CT). The Bulls will then host the Pacers at the United Center on Dec. 20 at 7:00 p.m. (CT).

The Bulls are currently scheduled to appear on national television a total of 26 times. This year the Bulls will air on ESPN 10 times, TNT seven times, ABC five times and NBA TV four times. The Chicago Bulls local television schedule will be announced in the very near future.
