Bulls keep it going all summer long
Winters in the Midwest can be cold. Really cold. So when the summer months finally approach, Chicagoans prepare themselves to take full advantage.
The Chicago Bulls are no different. Though it is technically the offseason, the organization is making the most of its time until training camp begins in the fall by making appearances throughout the city and updating fans on the team’s activities.
The Bulls launched their Spotify account in the spring and recently debuted a new “Tip Off the Summer” mix. Playlists for the Fourth of July weekend and the end of summer will follow.
Benny the Bull, the Luvabulls and other members of the Bulls Entertainment Network will be visiting a variety of festivals and concerts this summer, ranging from the Pride Parade (June 28) to Pitchfork Music Festival (July 17-19), among others. Members of the Bulls Entertainment Network will also appear at a variety of corporate partner events and host auditions for the 2015-16 season.
From June 22-26, three-time NBA champion Toni Kukoc will host a youth basketball camp at the Bulls/Sox Academy Basketball Camp in Lisle, Illinois. Later in the summer, a pair of five-day camps (August 3-7 & August 10-14) will feature current and/or former Bulls players as participants focus on ball handling, shooting, rebounding, and footwork.
The team will continue its work in the community throughout the summer, participating in community improvement projects and providing staff with opportunities to volunteer and give back.
Following the NBA Draft on June 25 – Chicago currently owns the 22nd overall selection – a Bulls team led by Doug McDermott will head to Las Vegas for NBA Summer League from July 10-20. Fans can tune into NBA TV for games and recaps and to BullsTV for behind-the-scenes features.
As summer comes to an end, the team will host Bulls theme night at U.S. Cellular Field on September 14 as the Chicago White Sox host the Oakland Athletics. The night will feature Luvabulls performances and appearances by Bulls DJs and legends, among other surprises.
Throughout the summer, Bulls.com will be updated with event recaps, photos of the week and much more. Let us know how you are showing your Bulls spirit at festivals, backyard barbeques and pickup basketball games throughout the summer by including “#BullsAllSummer” in your social media posts.
