Bucks Acquire Brockman from Kings


The Milwaukee Bucks acquired forward/center Jon Brockman (6-7, 252) from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for forward Darnell Jackson and a 2011 second round draft pick, General Manager John Hammond announced today.

Brockman, 23, joins the Bucks after averaging 2.8 points and 4.1 rebounds 12.6 minutes per game as a rookie with the Kings in 2009-10. He appeared in 52 games (four starts) with Sacramento and shot 53.4 percent from the field. The University of Washington alum was selected in the second round with the 38th overall pick in the 2009 draft by Portland and traded to Sacramento. While at the University of Washington he averaged 13.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 28.7 minutes (131 games, 129 starts).

Jackson (6-9, 253) was awarded to Milwaukee off of waivers from Cleveland on March 25, 2010. He appeared in one game with the Bucks and 28 with the Cavaliers in 2009-10. Jackson holds career averages of 1.5 points and 1.4 rebounds since entering the league with Cleveland in 2008-09.
