Signed by the Bucks last season on Feb. 24 after being waived by the Brooklyn Nets, Carter went on to appear in 20 games (2 starts) with Milwaukee and posted averages of 5.6 points, 2.5 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game. Carter also shot 50.6% from the field with the Bucks last season, including 55.8% from three, and appeared in 11 playoff games. Overall, the 26-year-old played in 66 games with Brooklyn and Milwaukee during the 2021-22 season and averaged 4.2 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 13.7 minutes per game.
Originally selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of West Virginia, Carter has played in 223 games in his NBA career with Memphis, Phoenix, Brooklyn and Milwaukee. The Maywood, Illinois native holds career averages of 4.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 14.1 minutes per game.
