MILWAUKEE -- General Manager John Hammond announced today that Marc Boff has been hired as the team’s Head Athletic Trainer. In addition, Jon Horst has been hired as the team’s Director of Basketball Operations and Dave Dean has been promoted to Director of Basketball Administration.

Boff comes to Milwaukee after four seasons as the Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Chicago Bulls. He is a licensed athletic trainer, a licensed physical therapist and a certified strength and conditioning coach. Prior to his four-year stint with the Bulls, he served as the Head Strength Coach and Physical Therapist for the New Orleans Hornets during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons. From 1994 to 2002, Boff worked for the Boston Celtics as the assistant to the Head Athletic Trainer. In addition to his work with Chicago, New Orleans and Boston, Boff has volunteered as an athletic trainer at the NBA Draft Camp multiple times, and has practiced in physical therapy clinics treating patients with a wide variety of orthopedic diagnoses.

A native of Ocean Township, New Jersey, the 34-year-old Boff grew up on the Jersey Shore. He received his Bachelor’s degree in American studies from Brandeis University in 1996 while playing varsity soccer and lacrosse. He went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002 and recently completed his Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy, both from Simmons College. Boff also recently became a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). A licensed soccer coach, Boff has served as coach and director of Coerver Soccer Camps of New Jersey since 1992. He also completed his Real Estate License last year.

Jon Horst spent the past three seasons in the Detroit Pistons basketball operations where he worked under both Hammond and Bucks Assistant General Manager Jeff Weltman.

Dave Dean has been with the Bucks since the 2001-02 season when he joined the club as a Public Relations Intern, and most recently worked as a player personnel/scouting assistant.
