Johnson Controls Sculpture

The Johnson Controls Open Globe Sculpture located outside Fiserv Forum’s Johnson Controls Entrance on the northwest side of the arena was a one-of-a-kind gift to Fiserv Forum, fans and the city of Milwaukee. The Open Globe Sculpture represents the openness and global reach Johnson Controls offers through smart, safe, healthy and sustainable technology solutions, and the beating pulse the arena achieves through the integration of Johnson Controls technology.

The Open Globe Sculpture is a vibrant and welcoming symbol to all who enter Fiserv Forum, and a reminder of the incredible partnership between Johnson Controls and the Bucks, resulting in a world-class arena that is smart, safe, healthy and sustainable.

Following Bucks home wins, we POWER IT UP, switching the lighting from white to green.

When the Johnson Controls Sculpture is white,
we light up the night.
When the Johnson Controls Sculpture is green,
it’s another win for our team! Go Bucks!

Smart Building Partner + Technology Implemented

Engaged at the earliest stage of the process as technology contractor, Johnson Controls worked closely with the Bucks and their design and construction team to furnish, install, integrate and service state-of-the-art, smart building solutions throughout the new facility. The result is a world-class sports and entertainment venue that is second to none.

Fan-centric technologies include:

  • Future-ready network infrastructure with the bandwidth, capacity, speed and connectivity to support the smart technology that keeps fans connected, safe and comfortable.

  • Robust, uninterrupted Wi-Fi coverage and live data streaming on demand to create an unforgettable event experience.

  • In-house video production studio supported by an audio/video infrastructure and broadcast cabling plant to produce the sights and sounds designed to amplify the action.

  • HVAC, building automation, security, lighting, fire protection and information technology designed to simplify and optimize how the building functions, enabling more control for the Bucks to operate the arena while delivering a safe, secure, comfortable and sustainable fan experience.

A multi-sport complex at Browning Elementary and Silver Spring Neighborhood Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, funded by Johnson Controls and the Milwaukee Bucks, recently received the Milwaukee Brewers Community Foundation Public Space award at the Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development and Innovation (MANDI).

Unveiled in 2017, the sports complex is the result of a collaboration between Johnson Controls, the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Public Schools, the Milwaukee Housing Authority and the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center. The Bucks and Johnson Controls have pledged $600,000 over the next 10 years to fund youth-focused community programs to continue improving neighborhood relations.

"We wanted to add something that not only the kids who go to school and attend community programs could use, but something the entire community could enjoy," said Annemarie Scobey- Polacheck, director, Corporate Philanthropy.

The MANDI awards also hosted Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, who commented on the positive impact companies like Johnson Controls are making in Milwaukee.
