College

#1

A small test: List as many players as you can from the University of Florida (currently ranked #1 in college hoops) who went on to play for the Bucks.

You got every single none of them.

Maybe that is odd. Three guys from Old Dominion played for the Bucks – three from Florida State played for the Bucks – one from Hardin-Simmons University played for the Bucks. But none from the University of Florida.

The Gators are more of a contemporary power than traditional power of course. The school has 12 players in the NBA right now out of 25 all time.

So, what school has produced the most eventual Bucks? I manually tracked down this answer on the cheeriest type of afternoon, an afternoon on basketball-reference.com, and please don’t say if there is an easier way to find this information than very, very manually.

Colleges

It was nice of John Henson to give University of North Carolina the top spot, with a full 10 former Tar Heels hooping for the Bucks after college. That makes 10 out of 348 players in franchise history.
