Trail Blazers Transfer Moses Brown and Jaylen Hoard to Texas Legends
PORTLAND, Ore. (November 15, 2019) –The Portland Trail Blazers have completed the two-way transfers of center Moses Brown and forward Jaylen Hoard to the Texas Legends, it was announced today by president of basketball operations Neil Olshey.
In two appearances with the Trail Blazers this season, Brown has recorded three rebounds in five total minutes. Hoard has appeared in one game for Portland, recording one rebound in one minute.
Brown and Hoard made their G League debuts for the Legends on Nov. 8 against the Memphis Hustle. Brown finished with six points (3-5 FG), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 11 minutes. Hoard recorded 14 points (7-13 FG), nine rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes.
Originally signed to a training camp contract on September 12, Brown, 20, appeared in all five preseason games for the Trail Blazers, posting averages of 5.2 points (69.2% FG, 61.5% FT), 2.2 rebounds and 1.00 block in 6.9 minutes per game. The Trail Blazers exercised the two-way player conversion option in the contract of Brown (7-1, 245) on October 18.
Hoard, 20, played in all five of Portland’s preseason games, averaging 1.4 points (42.9% FG), 1.8 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 8.6 minutes per game. The Trail Blazers signed Hoard (6-8, 215) to a two-way contract on July 1.
